X Malisse will be the favourite in this match. He has had somewhat of a renaissance in 2010 moving back to within a top 50 ranking, at number 55. The Belgian has had his troubles over recent years but is back fighting now. I don't think he will enjoy playing indoors as much as other surfaces but he should still be able to compete with his French opponent. Roger-Vasselin qualified for this tournament and so has plenty of practice no the courts which could be to his advantage. He sits just outside the top 100 ranknigs at 106 and he knows a good performance in Metz will make sure he breaks this barrier this week. He possesses a good all round game and his first serve is important. He is in good form having reached the final of the St Remy challenger a couple of weeks ago.
