This should be an exciting contest. Both players had impressive routes to the final, and both are capable of beating each other.
Simon has a very solid game. He serves well, has a good tennis mind and eventhough he doesn't look particularly strong, he can create a lot power in his groundstrokes. He is also one of the best returners in the game. Once he is on top in a match he can be difficult to peg back, just look at how he demolished Gulbis in the second set yesterday.
Troicki is a little too dependent on his first serve. It wins him a lot of cheap points and gets him out of a lot of trouble. He served 13 aces against F Mayer. Troicki needs to up his first serve percentage from his semi-final or else Simon will punish him.
i think both these players are likely to be inside the worlds top 20 this year and I think this could be a close encounter, however i will pick the Frenchman to lift the title
