This could be a very close match and the odds have shortened on a Groth victory after her tournament win in Hobart yesterday. The Aussie has had a fantastic 12 months on tour and is now ranked inside the worlds top 40. Will she be able to defeat Wickmeyer though? It is a possibility. Yanina is no doubt a fantastic player and a possible top 10 player, but has had a few personal problems to deal with in the last few months, after reaching the semi-finals of the US Open in 2009. Both girls can create a lot of power, yet both can make a lot of mistakes on their serve and their second serves can also be erratic. Groth will have the home support behind her and I think this could be the telling blow.
