ATP Brazil Open - Nicolas Almagro v Alexandr Dolgopolov

2 in- form players battle it out here for a place in the final tomorrow. First up Nicolas Almagro. The Spaniard had a very slow start last night against Chela but came through strongly in the end. He seemed to get to grips with the conditions eventually but he will have to start a lot better against Dolgopolov. The Ukranian fresh from his Aussie Open quarter final appearance is looking to move into the worlds top 20 this year and at 32 is not far off. He has been impressive on the clay transition this week, particularly against Mello yesterday. Almagro though is a different class. He is a clay court king winning 7 clay court tournaments in his career including this event in 2008. He can play long rallies and loves it! Almagro has far more experience then Dolgopolov and he won their only head to head last year at the French Open on straight sets. I still think that the Ukranian could cause an upset here.

Match Prediction:

A Dolgopolov to win.
