WTA Madrid: Early wins for Petra Kvitova and Sam Stosur on Tuesday

Sam Stosur defeated Daniela Hantuchova 7-6 7-5 and Petra Kvitova destroyed Chantele Scheepers 6-3 6-3 to safely move into round three of the clay court tournament. Kvitova has been one of the players of 2011 so far and will look to have another good Grand Slam event at Roland Garros later this month. Sam was runner-up in France last year and will look to go one better this year and win her first Grand Slam singles title.
