The Bryan twins are hot favourites to win their 9th Grand Slam doubles title today at the US. Open. They are going for a hat-trick of wins having lifted the trophy in 2005 and 2008. The twins have won over 60 tournaments together and this success will look to take them equal with John McEnroe and Jonas Bjorkman woh each have 9 grand slams doubles to their names. Only 3 Aussies have more, Newcombe, Woodforde and Woodbridge. They haven't dropped a set in the tournament and have beaten some top sides such as Fish/Knowles and Frystenberg/Matkowski. With Bob winning the mixed doubles title with Liezel Huber last night, the Bryan brothers are gunning for more success. Bopanna and Qureshi though will be no pushovers. They are really enjoying themselves and come into the final with no pressure on them at all. Qureshi was disappointed to lose the mixed doubles title yesterday but this should make him even more hungry to win this match. He is Playing out of his skin whilst Bopanna has made a name for himself in India and has finally taken some of the limelight that felloe Indians Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have had over the last decade. With wins against 2nd seeds Nestor and Zimonjic and dangerous duo Norman/Moodie, the Pakistani/Indian partnership will be full of confidence in New York this evening.
PREDICTION:
Bryan Brothers to win.
