J Groth to beat T. Tanasugarn - jarmila Groth has had a fantastic year and should finish 2010 inside the worlds top 50 players. She has been consistent and has a great all round game. Although tamarine is capable of beating the Aussie, she may not have as much motivation as Jarmila. The Thai star is coming to the end of her career and i can't see Groth letting her win this match.
K Pervak to beat A Panova - Should be a comfortable win for the young Russian over her doubles partner. Panova is never likely to trouble the world of tennis, whereas Pervak is a former Aussie Open junior winner and had a great win against Chan in the first round.
A Morita to beat E Gallovits - Its about time Ayumi Morita showed what she is capable of, hacing spent a few years hovering around the worlds top 100. She is a much better player than this and would hope to see her in the top 50 next year. Gallovits will find the conditions tough and Morita should win.
A Amanamurdova to beat S Mirza - Akgul has been playing well in the last few months and even had a win over J Jankovic. She also blasted into the 2nd round in Guangzhou. S. Mirza cannot get back to the level we saw a few years ago and although she will put up a fight i think the Uzbeckistan star sohlud prevail.
