This is a qualification match for the Bell Challenge WTA tournament next week. It brings together one of the USA's new tennis hopes Madison Brengle against 18 year old Heather Watson of Great Britain, last years US Open junior champion. Brengle in the 1st round of qualifying had a tough encounter against another US teenage hopeful Laura Albanese before comnig through in 3 sets. The 20 year old hasn't had the success she wanted since turning professional and is still ranked outside the top 150 in the world. She is lacking confidence at the moment and most pundits would have put her in the top 50 by now, after such a glittering junior career. She has been out of the limelight since the emergence of Melanie Oudin as the top US hope. Watson has had a great year racing into the worlds top 250. She showed in Eastbourne that she is ready to break into the professional tour with a bang, qualifying and reaching the second round with imprressive results. In the first round of qualies she destroyed her opponent and I think the Brit will have too much again on her favourite service.
