Zvonareva will be the favourite in this match. She was a Wimbledon finalist this year and is in terrific form regaining her top 10 ranking and could well re-enter the top 5 by the end of the year. The Russian rarely loses to lower ranked opponents and is usually a model of consistency on the tour. Many feel she should have won a Grand Slam by now. Her powerful ground strokes are her main weapon. Kaia Kanepi continues to suprise the tennis world. Wimbledon quarter-finalist Kanepi will move into the world's 25 whatever happens in this match and her confidence is very high. She will not be fazed by Zvonareva and is strong enough to compete. She has a good serve and if she remains consistent throughout the match she could pose Vera a few problems. This could well go to 3 sets with Vera squeezing through.
