This is the match everyone wants to see. Two brilliant champions facing off against each other for a place in the US Open final. Head to head these girls are 6-6 with Kim winning the last four meetings. They have also met 3 times before at the US Open. In 2001 Williams thumped a young Clijsters 6-2 6-1 but the Belgian got her revenge in 2005 and yet again last year when she beat Venus in 3 sets in the 4th round on her way to winning the title as a Wildcard. There is no doubt Kim is the better form and plays more consistently than Venus recently. However Venus has impressed throughout the last two weeks in New York. Venus hasn't made the final in New York since 2002 and I think she will find Kim Clijsters too good again in 2010. The Belgian thumped Williams 6-2 6-1 on the Miami hardcourts earlier in the year and thinkthe score will be a straight sets victory for the Belgian again tomorrow.
