ATP Auckland Final - D Nalbandian v D Ferrer

Two of the finest returners of serve in the game pit their wits against each other today in New Zealand. Both players had impressive wins in the semis with Nalbandian defeating Almagro in straight sets whilst Ferrer had his best match of the tournament in beating Santiago Giraldo.

This could be a close encounter. Both players will attack any weak serves and counter punch each others short balls. Expect a tactical battle and each player will try to sweep their opponent around the court in a pacey affair. I feel David Nalbandian may just have the edge in this encounter as i feel Ferrer isn't at his best here in Auckland. Although Ferrer leads the head to heads 6-5, Nalbandian has won the last three which where also all on hardcourts

Match Prediction

Nalbandian to win
