Denis Istomin is Uzbekistan's new tennis star. He had a great 2010 rising to well within the top 50 players in the world and beating some top class platyers. He is comfortable on the hardcourts, and should like the conditions. Istomin is very ambitious and will look to start 2011 with a good grand Slam performance. Today he is up against Czech veteran Jan Hernych. The Czech player has won 3 qualifying matches to get here and will be match fit and used to the Melbourne conditions. He will be full confidence after his wins and will want to attack Denis Istomin's weak second serve as much as possible. The odds are generous on an Istomin victory so this is what I will choose.
