I have an unhealthy appetite for following tennis around the world. From Grand Slams to ATP & WTA level events right down to the ITF circuit. No tournament is too small. Enjoy my predictions

Keothavong through as Watson crashes out.
Anne Keothavong safely moved into the last round of qualifying for the Australian Open with a easy straight sets win over Iona Olaru of Romania. She next faces another Romanian, 20 year old talented Begu. Keothavong should have enough experience to gain the victory, but lets not count our chickens yet! Meanwhile Heather Watson had a tough match with Tsurenko of the Ukraine. The match was close and both girls had 13 break points each! Ultimately the the final tie-break let Heather down, failing to win a point, maybe running out of steam from the all the matches she has played recently. Anyway it has been a good start to 2011 for the 18 year old who with the ranking points from the first qualifying win should stay nicely inside the worlds top 150 players.
