Tennis Tipster News: Kvitova coming of age as she downs local girl Stosur

Petra Kvitova reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon last year and has started to move up the rankings strongly. I tipped the Czech girl first in 2008 in her breakthrough year and after a lean 2009, Kvitova is now showing she is definately a top 20 player if not higher. She is finally getting some consistency in her tennis and Sam Stosur was on the wrong end of the powerful 1st serve of the Czech star. Neither girl took their break point chances, Stosur just 1 of 7 and Kvitova just 2 of 11, but it was the Czech girl who won the first set tie-break and then never looked back. She is dangerous - watch this space. She should defeat Pennetta in the next round.
