Tennis Tipster News: Makarova adds Petrova to her list of scalps

Elena Makarova defeated Ana Ivanovic 10-8 in the final set of their first round match, showing her liking for the long matches. So when she won her 3rd round match against 13th seed Nadia Petrova 8-6 in the final set, it didn't seem too much of a suprise. The battle of the Russians was a very topsy turvy match and after Petrova had comeback from 5-2 down in the 3rd set to level 5-5 you would have thought she'd go on to win. Makarova stook to her task though and earned her place in the 4th round
