Rafael Nadal won his match convincingly with last years semi-finalist Marin Cilic. The Croat looked lathargic and made many unforced errors as he tried to keep up with the consistent Nadal. The Spaniard never gives up points which frustrated the Croat. Although Cilic won 76% of his first serves he only could convert 33% of his second which was never going to be good enough.
