AMRO Rotterdam, Tsonga v Soderling

Head to head it is 3-0 to Soderling and all came in straight sets. On that basis you wouldn't bet against the Swede making it 4 in a row, especially in a tournament that he won last year!

But lets make a case for a Tsonga win. His first serve is the best we have seen this week. He is winning a very high percentage of these serves and is being consistent. he has defeat Llodra and had a good win against Ivan Ljubicic yesterday, fighting all the way against the giant Croat. If Tsonga can forget about the previous 3 meetings between the two and beleive he can win, then I think he can. This surface suits his game and he has the ability to at least take a set from Soderling.

The Swede struggled in his match against Mikhail Youzhny on Friday but was a confident winner against Viktor Troicki yesterday. Again his first serve is the main weapon here.

Both players will attack each others second serve thats for sure. I feel Tsonga maybe playing a little more consistently this week and will go with the value here and take a Tsonga win.

Match Prediction:

J-W Tsonga
