This will be another big test for Heather. She will be desperate to win a few rounds of Qualifying in Indian Wells and make the main draw. She is a former US Open girls champion and loves the hardcourts of the USA. She struggles on her second serve though and if she doesn't serve a high 1st serve percentage then she could be in trouble against the experienced Flipkins. The Belgian is capable of playing all surfaces well. She is a very hit and miss player, sometimes brilliant, sometimes awful. She has slipped down the ranks with a couple of injuries but now is back and looking for a good tournament. I think Watson is capable of causing an upset here and hope she can keep mentally stronng, go for her shots an get ahead in the match early.
