ITF Gifu: Emily Webley-Smith reaches Final in Japan

Emily Webley Smith fought her way into the $50,000 event in Gifu, Japan after a three set win over local player Chinami Ogi. The 26 year old is now one win from a place within the worlds top 250 players and even if she loses she could come close to her personal best ranking of 262 set way back in 2005. With very few points to defend until later in the year, Emily will set herself the target of moving even further up, especiallly with the grass court season soon upon us. In the final she will another Japanese player, junior star Sachie Ishizu, who looks to be a very tough opponent
