17 year old British sensation Laura Robson will take on American player Kimberly Couts in the first round of the $50,000 ITF tournament in Indian Harbour Beach. The youngster will be looking to gain a few wins here in the USA before heading back to Europe for a possible French Open qualifying spot and also break inside the worlds top 250 players and gain an automatic wild card for Wimbledon, where she has the potential to do very well, having won the junior championship in 2008.
Melanie South faces a tough match with Julia Boserup. South is poor form but with the grass court season imminent will look to try and build some confidence in her game.
