Tennis Value Punts - Tuesday 14th February

G Muller @ 1.61 to beat T Smyczek. The Luxembourg player is a much better player than the young American, and his powerful 1st serve should see him get plenty of cheap points here in San Jose. The American though has qualified so knows the courts and he will have the crowd behind him. Muller to win in 2 tight sets for me.

M Minella @ 2.00 to beat A Panova. Don't really understand these odds, unless the bookies think Minella will be tired after last weeks exploits in Cali. The Luxembourg girl reached the final their and has a new career high ranking this week. She is hugely motivated and will want another win. Panova is a decent enough player and if Mandy is tired then Panova could take advantage

V Hanescu @ 2.50 to beat J Souza - The Romanian isn't in good form, but hopes clay will help him with some much needed match practice. On his day he would defeat Souza, but doubts on his fitness make him the outsider here. Souza will have home crowd behind him too and thats a big advantage in Sao Paolo. Never the less I think these are good odds for Hanescu, who has a 1-0 H2H record over his younger opponent. Low stakes

E Gallovits-Hall @ 1.61 to beat J Cohen - Gallovits on clay can be very dangerous. She's not in great form, but she should be able to deal with Cohen. Last time these 2 met, Edina won 6-2 6-0
