Mattek-Sands @ 2.35 to beat E Makarova - Another close match looks likely here in Indian Wells. H2H it is 1-1 and the American won their last encounter, though Makarova has the win on hardcourts. On her day Makarova plays excellent tennis, but sometimes needs to get into a tournament before she shows this. Mattek-Sands is inconsistent and often her personality comes before her tennis credentials. It will be hard hitting game and i tihkn if th crowd get behind the American and her 1st serve is working then she could suprise Makarova. Then again don't be suprised if Ekaterina pummels the American! Thats WTA tennis for you
