WTA Carlsbad: Laura Robson v Petra Kvitova

Laura Robson loves a big scalp and playing the big matches. Although she only squeezed through her 1st round against Morita, the British teenager will be looking forward to playing Petra Kvitova, a player she beat in a titanic match in the Australian Open in January. Laura has the advantage of being the underdog and also playing on the courts already with her win over Morita. Kvitova is very beatable and in my eyes looked very sluggish at Wimbledon. However Petra does have some power shots, a great serve when working and plenty of experience. I think Laura is a big price (7/4 bet365) and is worth a small punt, low stakes only though. The Brit does need to cut out the double faults though, something she managed to do at Wimbledon, but served 9 in her 1st round here at Carlsbad
