Ladies Wimbledon Tennis Quarter-Final: Serena Williams v Vika Azarenka

Serena Williams is only 3 wins away from the Grand Slam of  tennis and not even sister Venus could stop her in the 4th round. She had got past the scare against Heather Watson and will probably be more confident after that match. Serena's first serve is crucial to her success and on grass it is even more effective and often un-returnable. Serena has a 3-0 H2H at Wimbledon against Vika Azarenka.  In 2009 Serena won 6-2 6-3, 2012 she won 6-1 6-2 and then at the Olympics on the same courts won 6-3 7-6 (8-6). Azarenka has struggled with injuries over the last few years, but she has now regained her WTA top 20 ranking and has gradually been improving her confidence and tennis especially looking very good in the first 4 rounds. Her game is quite well suited and going into this match as the underdog may well suit her. She has 3 wins over Serena in her career but 16 loses also though some of the matches have been tight 3 setters. In Madrid this year nerve and double faults caused Vika to lose a match that she should have won. It still shows Azarenka is close to Serena and can match her power during matches.  Vika will have to take pressure the Serena 2nd serve, attack and go for her shots and trying to unsettle Serena - easier said then done. Azarenka also need to serve well herself. It would be nice to see Azarenka and Serena Williams play a class quarter-finals and I hope Vika can keep it close hence the below predictions Have a Punt with Paddy Power and get some great enhanced prices
