James Ward v Jiri Vesely over 3.5 sets 8/13
Big match for both players. James Ward is fighting for ranking points to try and break into the ATP top 100 after Wimbledon and also looking to impress the Davis Cup captain for the tie straight after Wimbledon against France. He has the game for grass and his win over Vanni in the 1st round should give him confidence. He took Raonic to 3 sets also at Queens. Vesely is a young Czech player and a former top junior. He has a big serve which he will look to gain some cheap points with. I can see this match being tight and I doubt either player will win in straight sets
