Wimbledon Tennis Ladies Semi-Final: Serena Williams v Maria Sharapova

The battle of two of probably the 2 biggest names in ladies tennis. Serena Williams has had her troubles in this year's Wimbledon.... First Heather Watson found herself 3-0 and a double break up in the decider, but back came Serena, then Williams went a set down and nearly a break down in the 2nd set to Vika Azarenka before again mounting a comeback. When the 1st serve is working and Serena is in the zone then the world number 1 is phenomenal. She has a brilliant H2H record against Maria Sharapova and will be very difficult to beat, especially with the Grand Slam so close. What can Maria Sharapova do? The Russian needs to serve well, cut out errors and Maria needs to move Serena around if possible and stop Williams from controlling the court and hitting winners galore. Sharapova needs to keep Serena at the back of the court as any short balls will be punished by the world number 1. Serena v Maria at Wimbledon is 1-1 H2H. Sharapova beat Williams in 2004 to win the title while in 2010 Serena won a tight match in the 4th round. Maria needs consistency throughout the whole match.... one set of great tennis will not be good enough. I would love to see a tight match

Maria Sharapova +5.5 games 4/6

Over 19.5 games in the match 4/6
