interesting match up. Istomin has had a terrific season, moving into the worlds top 50 for the first time with a string of quality wins iver the likes of Wawrinka, Haas, Troicki and Almagro. He has reached the final in New Haven and three further quarter final or better places on the tour. Uzbeckistan has a new sports star. He should like the courts in Metz and he is playing with lots fo confidence. Florent Serra's year has been pretty lacklustre. He much prefers clay to play on and the indoor courts of Metz will not be entirely suitable for his game. He has reached the quarter finals though before back in 2006, when he beat Robin Soderling so he does know how to win, and the French partisan crowd are sure to get behind him. I think Istomin may just have enough in the tank to beat the French hopeful.
