Brands is havong a good season in 2010 so far and has had some impressive results, reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon and winning a challenger tournament in Monza. He is currently 80 in the world, reaching a high of 66 in July. Brands has a lot of points to defend from 2009 in the coming months and will need to be at his best to beable to stay inside the worlds top 100. Tommy Robredo has moved down the ranks this year to number 40. He is used to being a top 20 player and desperately wnats to find this form again. His 4th round appearance at the US Open a couple of weeks ago will do his confidence good and having won this title back in 2007, Robredo will be happy to be back in Metz. i think the Spaniard will have too much for Brands today and will move swiftly into the next round.
