S. WAWRINKA V M. YOUZHNY

This is a huge match for both players. A chance to make the semi-finals of a Grand Slam does not often happen for these two especially when you look at the era of players they are in with Nadal, Murray, Djokovic and of course Federer all in the way of their route to the latter stages of the majors. Well with Wawrinka's defeat of Murray, the door is well and truely open. Stanislas also suprised me in his 5 set win against Sam Querrey. If the Yank had had a better 1st serve percentage he would have easily defeated the Swiss and in my opinion Wawrinka was lucky to reach the quarters. Youzhny on the other hand has be very consistent and confident in his game. He is ready for this match. The Russian has been on the ATP tour for many years now and finally things are coming together. His wins over John Isner and Tommy Robredo in the last two rounds where very solid wins and in my opinion he is the more likely to seal a semi-final birth. With doubts on Wawrinka's fitness also looming, I think Mikhail will try to dominate the rallies and play solid hardcourt tennis.

PREDICTION

Youzhny to win
Value Bet: Youzhny to win in 4 sets.
