HUBER/BRYAN V QURESHI/PESCHKE

The mixed doubles final will take place this evening. Number one seeds Liezel Huber and Bob Bryan take on suprise package Aisam Qureshi and Kveta Peschke. Huber and bryan will be obvious favourites for the title and have only dropped one set on the way to the final defeating top teams like Moodie/Raymond and Nestor/Mattek-Sands. The pairing won the French Open on 2009 together, whilst Bob has won a further 5 mixed doubles grand slam titles. Mixed doubles often throws up suprises though and we have already seen Qureshi in great form over the past two weeks, having reached the mens doubles final with partner Bopanna. This maybe be the ideal opportunity to put tennis in Pakistan on the map and at 30 years of age he isn't getting any younger to break his grand slam duck. He has formed a quick and successful partnership with Czech doubles star Kveta Peschke, who at 35 years old will equally want to win a Grand Slam title before she retires. I ultimatley think Huber/Bryan will be too consistent for their opponents but if Aisam can support his partner strongly and get off to a good start who knows what can happen.

PREDICTION:

HUBER/BRYAN TO WIN IN 3 SETS
