Yesterday i predicted Vera Zvonareva would have too much for top seed Caroline Wozniacki. She played a solid game and coped with the conditions better than the Danish youngster and moved into her second straight Grand Slam final. At Wimbledon she couldn't cope with the superiority of Serena Williams and she could struggle with the immense power Kim Clijsters has the moment. Clijsters grinded out a three set win against an inspired Venus Williams, who should have done better in the 2nd set tie-break against the Belgian. That semi-final match was all about power, but in the final Zvonareva will have to play a different kind of game, mix it up against Kim, move her around the court, keep the balls deep and use the ocassion vollies and drop shots to confuse the Belgian. Thats if she gets the chance too!Clijsters will be the hot favourite and have a 5-2 head to head lead against the Russian. However Zvonareva has won the last two matches, both this year.... Vera upset the odds at Wimbledon with a 3 sets win and then again on the hardcourts at Montreal again in 3 sets. She will be brimming with confidence and the Wimbledon final experience should have helped her with nerves. Kim is the defending champion and I think she may just have a little bit more consistency to defend her crown against the Russian
