News: Daniela Hantuchova causes upset to reach Pattaya City Final
Daniela Hantuchova rolled back the years to gain an impressive win against defending champion and world number 3 Vera Zvonareva. The Slovakian punished Zvonarevas 2nd serve winning over 65% of them and also stayed strong saving 8 of 9 break points she served, including several whilst serving for the match. Many people think Hantuchova is a has been on the tour, but a final appearance here in Pattaya may well spark a little revival in Hantuchova's chances of regaining her top 20 WTA ranking spot. In the final the world number 32 will play Italy's Sara Errani who defeated Roberta Vinci in the earlier semi.
