ATP Madrid Masters: Roger Federer holds on against Felciano Lopez
Spaniard Feliciano Lopez delighted the home crowd with a sensational match with world number three Roger Federer, but ultimately the Swiss ace hung on for victory. The match was close all the way with Federer taking the first set on a sensational tie-break 15-13 and then Lopez the second 7-6 with a more convincing 7-1 breaker score. The final set also came down to a tie-break, this time Lopez went 5-2 up. Federer though fought back to 5-5 and saved a match point at 6-5 down with his 25th ace of the match. Lopez then saved a match point before Federer got the mini-break and took the match 9-7. Great match from two great players.
