Maria Kirilenko and Victoria Azarenka confirmed themselves as a top doubles team when they knocked out the top seeds and world number ones Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta. The Russian/Belarus athletes both known more for their singles play won 10-6 in a third set champions tie-break.
