ATP Aegon Championships, London: Andy Murray v Andy Roddick

A Roddick to beat A Murray: I really hope my prediction is wrong and Murray can take the win here against the American, but I feel the value is with a Roddick win at odds of 2.30 with some bookies. In 2008 Murray handed Roddick victory with a walkover match due to injury, lets hope it is not the same on Saturday. They have played each other twice at Wimbledon so far in their career. Murray won in straight sets as a teenager in 2006, whilst Roddick defeated the Brit in 4 sets in a gruelling semi-final match, where Roddick showed all his grass court credentials by defeating not only the Scot but the deafening crowd also. Roddick has fine wins already in the tournament over Kevin Anderson, Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco and his serve has looked good. Murray though will have chances on Roddick's 2nd serve, but I am sure Roddick will have his serve in 'ace' form to defend what ever break point opportunities the Scot gets. Murray should be fresh after recieving a walkover into the semi-finals when Cilic withdrew. so should have been able to rest his ankle a little in the process. This could be a cracking match between two fantastic grass courters. I really hope Murray can pull off a win against Roddick, but just feel there is value in a win for the American. Put a £10 note on Roddick to win to double your money, if he loses then Murray will have reached the final - everyone is a winner!! :)
